Welcome to video #4, Home Cooking.
Home cooking use to give more so much anxiety, especially if I was cooking for more people than myself. I used to worry if others would judge me for how I was cooking, what I was doing and if they would in enjoy it.
Now, being able to really touch everything that is going into each meal, that is going to nourish my body and to be able to thank Mother Earth for providing these items has truly filled with so much happiness and gratitude.
The pandemic has really assisted with allowing me the time to slow down and really enjoy home cooking more but really this journey has been stop and go for me for sometime. As I discuss in the video I started to have major anxiety with eating out after a terrible food allergy attack and the onset of additional health challenges where my only option left was an elimination diet and gut reset.
Truly being able to take the time to cook as much as possible from scratch has allowed me to notice what my body really needs, likes, craves and what it does not. It has allowed me to be more connected to myself and mother earth more than I ever have.
I offer to you to really look at what you are putting into your body, how does your body feel after each meal or beverage, what small changes can you make to make your body feel that much better or to bring a little more joy into cooking.
In full discloser my neighborhood was affected by hurricane Eta. My house was spared but mine and one of my dear friends that just arrived cars were not. The fact, of like many, of already having a little fatigue from so much going on in the world and the hurricane clean up this will be a bit shorter than others.
