Relationships

Friendships have been strengthened and strained, families have been torn apart or brought together and marriages have been celebrated and they have been dissolved. The one thing we know is this year and it’s events are in the past. What we can take from it and everyday going forward is how can we strengthen ourselves as individuals so we can be more present and show up as the best versions of ourselves in every relationship.

Remember people, including yourself, are like icebergs. What you see above the surface is just the beginning of who they are.

This year has been one of those years I think we all can look back on and know it made us stronger, made us cherish ourselves and our relationships more. When we were all told that we must adjust our lives and change the way we live we knew it would be a challenge but we all embraced it the best we could. Statistics were coming out of countries that had already experienced what North America was about to experience, a huge uptick in divorces. Most the people around me laughed about this. What I do not think anyone expected was to still have the strain on the economy, home life, social life and all of our relationships for this long. On top of the pandemic we had social injustices being discussed more than ever and we were in the middle of an election year.

I have truly cherished sharing these words with you and I promise to keep showing up fully and present as long as you let me.
