Clearing away

As I do each day I got a little side tracked while I was putting things back out in my backyard. It has been flooding in my area a lot lately so each time it may we have to put things up, put things up high and pray.

The one thing that has been happening with each flood is our plants and yard have been dying a little more each time in floods. In the back corner of our yard is what we dubbed the butterfly garden. When we first looked at our home and when we first moved there was always bees and butterflies in our yard. Through the years I have been clearing it up little by little and deciding what to plant. Today while out in the backyard I noticed how dead the once thriving butterfly garden was. It was not going to come back this time. I could continue to wait and hope the trees would bloom again or I could clear away and start fresh. I made the decision if I could pull them out with my barehands than it was time to start fresh. So, that is exactly what I did. I pulled out the dead bushes and trees. I cut away the roots that were no longer nurturing the plants, I racked and turned the soil.

It is now baren and a little exposed but beautifully ready for whatever amazing seeds I decide to plant and flowering plants that will bloom. I can not wait for the day the bees and butterflies return filling my heart with so much joy.

Dear friends, take a moment to take a full exhale, a full inhale and turn your attention inwards. Feel the breath filling your whole being and as you allow your mind to turn completely to your body and breath. What can you clear away? What can you remove to clear room for more abundance and joy in your life.
